If you live in the St Albans constituency and are experiencing a problem with your immigration status then I may be able to help you. You can contact me using the form at the bottom of this page or by email, letter or telephone using the contact details listed here: https://www.daisycooper.org.uk/contact.
There is a strict parliamentary protocol that dictates that Members of Parliament may only deal with casework on behalf of their own constituents. If you live outside the St Albans constituency then, due to the need to prioritise responding to my own constituents, I will not be able to reply, and you will need to contact your local MP. You can check who your MP is here: https://members.parliament.uk/members/Commons.
If you have an application pending with the UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) service, I can request an update from the Home Office, to ask for information about how this is progressing. In an emergency situation such as a pending deportation, repatriation or visiting a sick relative abroad, I can raise your case as an urgent enquiry with the Home Office, and ask that it is prioritised so long as your case meets their pre-defined criteria.
I can also make enquires with the Passport Office should your application take longer than their standard service time agreement.
Please keep in mind that MPs are not allowed to provide immigration advice, but I can put you in touch with immigration advice services who do have access to qualified immigration lawyers.
I will need your full name, address, contact details, date of birth and UKVI, Home Office or Passport Office application reference numbers. You should also provide any other reference numbers you have been given.
I receive hundreds of emails, letters and phone calls from constituents every day – many relating to urgent health care, housing, immigration and social security issues. My team and I must prioritise these urgent casework issues and we will be responding as follows:
Urgent casework issues
I will respond to all urgent casework issues – such as homelessness, urgent care issues, deportations, urgent medical issues – raised with me as quickly as possible.
Non-urgent casework issues
I will respond to all non-urgent casework issues raised with me, however due to the need to prioritise urgent casework, it may take me a few weeks to reply.
Policy questions
I will respond to all policy questions raised with me, however due to the need to prioritise urgent casework it may take me a number of weeks to reply.
You can be assured that all data you share with me will be treated in the strictest confidence and only be used for the purposes for which you provide it. You can read more about this in my privacy policy here: https://daisycooper.org.uk/privacy.
