Daisy joins co-curator of the ”Becoming Us” Exhibition at St Albans Museum

On Monday morning, I popped into the “Becoming Us” exhibition at St Albans Museum, which celebrates the contributions of local St Albans residents of Afro-Caribbean descent.

Co-curator Shelley Hayles showed me round. She talked me through the stories and artifacts on display, the map made by people of all ages to mark places of significance where they, as residents of Afro-Caribbean descent live, work, play and volunteer across our area.

Some of it was harrowing; some of it full of joy.

If you’ve got time to pop by, it’s well worth a visit: it’s open until 30th June, and is completely free.
