Last few tickets for Dan Snow MBE live in conversation with Daisy Cooper MP

Portrait of Dan Snow MBE

For decades, Dan Snow MBE has lived and breathed history.

Just in the last few years alone, he’s been inside Tutankhamun’s tomb, found Shackleton’s lost ship off Antarctica, and been on our TV screens tracking down the best dinosaur fossils ever found in America.

His History Hit podcast is one of the most-listened-to history podcasts in the UK – and has evolved into the History Hit online channel of programmes, podcasts and more.

He has also lent his support to political causes in Britain and elsewhere. He has campaigned for voting reform; he is a patron of Humanists UK; and at the campaign group More United, he worked with St Albans MP Daisy Cooper to urge politicians from all parties to work together achieve their shared goals.

But when you have a head full of history… how does that influence the way you see the events in the news today? What does Dan make of the crises that are shaping our world? How can the war in Ukraine be ended – and stopped from spreading? What does he think the lingering after-effects of a once-in-a-century pandemic like Covid are – including the ones we can’t bring ourselves to face up to? Should we welcome the revolution in artificial intelligence – or fear it?

Daisy Cooper MP will put all these questions and more to Dan when he joins us in St Albans on Thursday evening.

You can hear their conversation – and ask your own questions – by buying your ticket now.

The event is on Thursday 23rd February at 7:30pm at The Sandpit Theatre in St Albans and tickets are on sale now at £25 each. The proceeds of the evening’s event will go towards Daisy’s General Election Fighting Fund, via St Albans Liberal Democrats.
