Daisy named ‘Pub Parliamentarian of the Year’

🍻 The general election announcement happened so quickly last week that I didn’t have time to announce that the day before, l had been named “Pub Parliamentarian of the Year” by the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Beer!

🏅 I won the award for my recent campaigning for fairer energy prices for pubs, restaurants, and hospitality businesses (I had been calling on the Government to stop energy suppliers from blacklisting entire sectors and for greater transparency on fees) whilst I was an MP. Parliament has now been dissolved, and although I am no longer an MP but a candidate, I am incredibly proud to have received this award.

🍺 It was great to be recognised by a cross-party group, and if re-elected, I’ll continue to do all I can to save our special St Albans pubs.
